FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GREEN RONIN LICENSES THE NOCTURNALS

Critically Acclaimed Comic to be Subject of Mutants & Masterminds Sourcebook

March 17, 2003—SEATTLE, WA: Green Ronin Publishing has reached an agreement with Dan Brereton to license his critically acclaimed comic Nocturnals for the Mutants & Masterminds RPG. Green Ronin will publish Nocturnals: A Midnight Companion, co-authored by Brereton and Green Ronin’s founder Chris Pramas. The book, an essential guide to the world and characters of the Nocturnals, includes a brand new, 8-page story and new rules for the Mutants & Masterminds RPG.

"Nocturnals is an amazing comic and we're thrilled to be bringing it to the RPG market," says Pramas. "Dan's one of the few guys in comics who can do it all--painting, writing, storytelling--and he is just the kind of creator we want involved with Mutants & Masterminds."

"I'm very impressed with Mutants & Masterminds and had a great time illustrating some of its characters. It put me in mind to approach Green Ronin about doing a Nocturnals game book and it turned out they had the same idea," says Brereton. "The plan is to create a book that will act as a companion guide for fans of the comics, as well as an excellent interactive way for readers and gamers alike to submerge themselves in the Nocturnals universe."

Nocturnals: A Midnight Companion is scheduled for a late summer release. The book will be full color and lavishly illustrated by Brereton and other hand-picked Nocturnals artists, such as Ted Naifeh (The Gunwitch: Outskirts of Doom, Courtney Crumrin), Phil Noto (Danger Girl, Beautiful Killer), and more to be announced.
