I just wanted to let you know that direct advertising (other than the website) for Bat Con 2001 started this weekend in Shreveport, Louisiana. It was a new market area for us, but turn-out was quite nice.

Many thanks to Hasbro and Ultarama for that. All the comic shops in the area were present including a few local publishers and creators. Everyone was very excited about Bat Con and are looking forward to attending.

We had guests that had driven from as far as Orlando to attend and they will be coming back in October and spreading the word in between. Ben tells me that we have even sold tickets to Bat Con internationally.........word is spreading.

Now that flyers and other print ads are about to start running, you will be seeing some updates and changes to the website (www.scifiexpo.com), so you can keep up-to-date with the progress.
