Midnight Companion and Competition News

From Chris Pramas at GreenRonin (who are publishing the Midnight Companion):
This leads to the one exception: the Nocturnals book. This one falls largely on my shoulders, as I was doing the game design portion. The good news is that Dan is done with new comic story, now 17 pages, and it's awesome. He's also finished all the background material on the world of the Nocs and I think fans are going to love it.

... we decided to re-solicit the book for a March release. Dan and I agreed that we don't want to rush the book out and get sloppy. We waited to put out Skull & Bones until it was ready, and I think you'll all agree that S&B delivered. The same will be true with the Nocturnals book. We will put that extra time to good use and you'll see the results this March.

From the webmaster:
Since the Midnight Companion won't be out for a few months yet and I have a super-busy December (which ends up with me in Atlanta for the first week of January) ... I was thinking about giving you guys and gals a few more weeks to get entries in (since I won't the time to put together the gallery of entries until January).

We could then have the voting when I get back from Atlanta, i.e. middle of January through to early February?

We've only had a few entries so far, but the have been really very good and very diverse (illustrations, movies, Halloween costumes). Anyway, send them in to webmaster@nocturnals.com.

So, send in your entries!

The Psycho

In case any of you havent heard the news, My management in LA, Circle of Confusion ( their biggest clients are the Wachowski Brothers) just set up THE PSYCHO at Universal Pictures.

Jim Hudnall and I , co-creators and owners of the Property are involved in the deal as co-producers. this is not a DC comics deal, as some articles have suggested, even though DC did publish the original comic as a three-issue prestige format mini-series in 1991. the rights on the creator-owned property reverted fully to Jim and I some years ago, and since then, David Engel was hard at work setting it up. David, nowe at Circle, in cahoots with Universal Director of Development Jeffrey Kirschenbaum who brought the comic to his boss, the President of the studio.

heres' the article that appeared in Variety (Mon., Oct. 27, 2003, 10:00pm PT)

U director of development Jeffrey Kirschenbaum brought the project into the studio and will oversee its development.
