SPYDOLL

yetitronic@earthlink.net (R. David Clark)

Perhaps another corporation escapee. In reality, an agent workingfor remaining scientists  wishing to bring down Doc Horror and his gang. Her position is vague  to the Nocturnals, yet Polychrome inherently distrusts her. She has tiny fangs, keeps all six arms hidden except when provoked and angry. Spins web from mouth at extreme speed. Has a taste for blood yet human side resists (most of the time). Gathered blackfuneral gown?Has four eyes yet second pair relatively small and unseen.

HAPPY JACK

chris@spainhour.com (Chris Spivey)

Appearance – Happy Jack is tall and lean, like a skeleton wearing human skin for warmth.  He dresses like an “Old West” undertaker – mainly dark, Abraham Lincoln-esque suits and a black leather duster.  He forgoes the traditional top hat in favor of a black leather newsboy-type hat.  His face is gaunt, with large crazy yellow-irised eyes that seem to glow with a spectral light, especially when his face is obscured by shadows.  His mouth are full of sharp teeth, which have grown in at crazy angles like a shark whose teeth have broken-off and grown back in horribly wrong.  Even with his mouth closed some of them still protrude from behind his lips, like the sneer of a growling bulldog.  His hair is long, brown and clean and falls just below his shoulders. He carries an old battered surgeon’s bag with him.  Contained within the bag are a number of extremely sharp, glittering knives.  He also carries a small caliber gun.

Personality – Happy Jack is a maniacal version of the perfect gentleman.  He would have no qualms about carving someone to bits, but rude behavior is extremely offensive to him.  He is always extremely proper in his manner of speaking, but in such a way that he seems to be an slightly Americanized version of a British lunatic.  His personality would fall somewhere between Bram Stoker’s Renfield (a prim and proper madman) and the Joker (a cackling lunatic).  Also, Happy Jack has a profound dislike for women.

History – Happy Jack’s strange history follows the sketchy past of Jack the Ripper, perhaps the most mysterious serial killer in the history of the world.  Though not actually Jack the Ripper in his physical form, Happy Jack is an unfortunate soul who happened to be in the wrong place under the wrong set of circumstances.  Half-starved and slowly going mad, a homeless man in Pacific City was targeted by a wandering spirit that needed a new body to continue its lifework.  Once the possession was complete, the being that was to become Happy Jack began his killing spree anew.  He, like Jack the Ripper, despises non-virtuous women – which, according to Jack the Ripper’s Victorian upbringing, includes the majority of females in modern society.

Nocturnals Interaction – Early in his new career he would go unnoticed by most people, but once the bodies started piling up it would be more difficult to ignore him.  Especially so for Doc Horror, once Happy Jack started taking notice of female Nocturnals like Starfish and Polychrome. And considering that Evening Horror is blossoming into womanhood (along with her new school friends), Doc Horror would have a very personal reason for wanting to stop Happy Jack.  Using Happy Jack would present an opportunity to explore another side of the Nocturnals dynamic.  Up to this point, we haven’t really seen what it means to be a woman within the Nocturnals.  Using a villain like Happy Jack would allow this, as well as creating a showcase in which to explore the detecting skills of Raccoon and Firelion. With the Gunwitch protecting Evening and Komodo having a budding kinship with Starfish, the only person left out of the fun may be Doc Horror, though his paternal instinct would keep him in the forefront.

Catchphrase – “Hello Lovey”.

Anubis

AardvarkSK@aol.com (FJ Sutton)

Anubis is a bio-engineered jackal (in the vein of Bandit) who, through years of torture and experimentation in the lab has become quite mad. He believes he actually is Anubis, Son of Osiris and God of Embalming. He, like his namesake, is a scavenger of the dead and roams Pacific City's various graveyards collecting hearts, which legend has it is the site of intelligence and is sought by the funerary gods. He removes all the deceased organs and keeps them in canopic jars as the ancient Egyptians did. Each is coded with a head-shaped lid: Jackal for the stomach, Baboon for the lungs, Falcon for the intestines, Human for the liver, and Scarab for the heart. The Pacific City Police Department believes Anubis is merely a psychopathic serial killer.
