Djinn

jsireci@helmcorp.com (Jenny Sireci)

The character is a djinn.  We're looking at a reluctant ally.  She's been captured by a Nocturnal enemy, and sent to spy.  The enemy's wish is to know the Nocturnals' whereabouts (especially Doc) at all time so to prepare for a strike.  The djinn packages her bottle up and leaves herself as a gift for Eve, thinking that she'd be the weak point in the group, and most likely to lobby for her continued cohabitation with the group.  She's correct.  Eventually, she's found out, and given a conflicting order from Eve to NOT disclose the Noc's whereabouts.  Effectively null.

We're dealing with a character that clearly resents her station in life.  She was once revered among her people, and has now been reduced to effective parlor trickery.  Imprisoned by a mage as a punishment for her pride and manipulations, she still feels that she is the intellectual and cultural superior to all she comes into contact with.  She will find a way to follow her orders and requirements strictly to the letter of the law, however that is not always the way that the controller intended things to work out.  The Nocs realize rather quickly that she has a slippery tongue, and become very careful about how they word their requests.  She gets passed around the group as far as who controls her, to retain her power and considerable skill.  The benefits clearly outweigh the difficulties of having her around.

In essence, she is a wildcard.  They need to guard her as she guards them, as should she fall into the hands of an enemy, she would be a formidable opponent.  Her immense powers are only in check by her obligations.  When not following her instructions to the letter of the law, she spends much time lounging around.  She is completely hedonistic, and clashes particularly with Starfish.  Starfish believes that she is a great potential liability, and that they should be done with the djinn.  Poly, oddly enough, lobbies for her continued association, primarily as a guardian for Doc.  She fears his vulnerability.

A middle eastern woman, in her most typical appearance.  Late 20's.  Veiled always, regardless of the other clothing.  Lounges in filmy wear often, out of comfort rather than style.  However, realizes that style is not always practical or applicable, and clothes herself to suit the occasion.  Veil is constant, regardless.  Thickness of veil varies by occasion.

Weakness of this proposal: The trite "genie in a bottle" bit.  I know, it's a bit weak.  But it provides the setting for the story, and an introduction/tie to the Nocs.  She fits well into Eve's pumpkin.

Strength: Her utter wildcard status.  And the unique insight that the wishes will show into individual characters.  I'd particularly be interested in Gunwitch, and what he'd wish for.

Rick (weasel)

wipsoar@cinnabyte.com (Wipsoar)

Have you seen Barry Lopez' kids book, Crow & Weasel? Cool American Indian story, & great art of an anthropomorphic weasel, (and crow). Ooo a crow would be cool too. But it probably should be a raven, they are scarier. If you have, imagine the Weasel as a cross between Lopez' Weasel & the weasels in "Who framed Roger Rabbit"

So, let's call him "Rick". Rick is one of the many hybrids from the monster shop. They used a weasel because they thought that their ability to get into small spaces would be handy. Rick's been picked on a lot, he has a good sense of humor, but is always waiting for the person he's joking with to pound on him with no notice. All he really wants out of life is a nice, warm home with good food & lots of it. He is a big trader, but usually gets screwed in any deal & can't get revenge because he's not physically strong enough to fight back, & not smart enough to figure out a scheme that would put him in a position of power. He'd like to be with Doc Horror & crew, but because of his past, is too mistrustful to be honest with Doc & better himself. He's always changing his loyalties, trying to cover all bases. He is a creature to be more pitied than scorned.

Hobbes

d.kerr@virgin.net (Dave Kerr)

Planet-hopper via portal technology, Hobbes is a man of honour and dedication (with a slightly odd obsession with guns). He has his portal technology stolen upon arrival on Earth (as well as being knocked out). When he awakens, he goes on a shooting spree in a search for the portal device. He soon comes across the Nocturnals who, upon realising his 'foreign' origins, agree to help, Doc Horror being particularly worried about the possible applications of the portal, and possible influx of an old enemy.

Hobbes is a virtual superman, though his impulsiveness often gets him into trouble. He possesses knowledge of many worlds and once fought a familiar enemy. He's 20 times stronger than almost any man, and that strength is often used in expressing his distain for the criminal element. But what he really wants more than anything is just to go home.

Doctor Jihanne

d.kerr@virgin.net (Dave Kerr)

Jihanne is a brilliant, youthful and ambitious woman. She previously performed genetic experiments for the Narn K. These experiments achieved very little, other than satisfying her sadistic and cruel tendencies.

Finally, Doctor Jihanne was 'removed' from Narn K and began work out of a warehouse in Pacific City where she enticed people or many creeds, colours and ages to be part of her 'experiments'. But now she's gone one step too far; she's kidnapped Evening Horror and now The Gunwitch, Eve's personal protector, is going to shoot his way through all of Jihanne's genetically modified soldiers until he gets Evening back, and sorts out Doctor Jihanne once and for all.

She stands at 5'9", lithe and beautiful; much like the femme fatales of the film noir era. She has long black hair, grey-purple eyes, wears glasses and is usually found wearing her long white lab coat.

Detective Greer

d.kerr@virgin.net (Dave Kerr)

Dedicated police officer and family man; Detective Greer was the ideal officer. It was not until he became involved in a kidnapping case that his life took a turn for the worse. Whilst trying to track the two missing children involved, Greer stumbled across a covern who were involved in the case. Greer tried to be discreet in his observations but was discovered by the witches. The three cursed him and he was turned into a gargantuan beast much akin to Bigfoot.

3 year have passed and Greer turns to the Nocturnals to help, he desperately needs their aid in ridding himself of the curse and getting his life back. He hides underneath a trenchcoat and hat, cowering from the world. He stands at 8'2" tall and is not someone to be messed with.
